26 MARCH 2012

I wrote this post on 26 March 2012 on the previous blog and decided to post this here to remind myself of my beliefs and what were my thoughts.

Well, the world is getting even scarier everyday now.

I still believe in old-fashioned relationships. Guys should take the initiative to ask the girls out. Putting his jacket onto the puddle of water is probably too extreme and too much to ask for. Opening of doors and letting the girl enter first is a must, needless to say. Guys should be the one making the big decisions, leading and protecting the female. But of course, the female’s opinion should be sought too at times. The females shall follow the male while he leads. This is probably quite hard to find in society nowadays. Generations have passed and we re no longer living in the olden days. As much as I always call my guy friends “MCPs” (Male Chauvinist Pigs), deep inside I know that its “normal”. Guys can have their egos, but they must know their limits. They should know when they should let their egos down and give in to girls. Seriously, how sweet is that? Imagine, a guy who always looks so tough and macho on the outside, but to the girl he loves, he just inevitably gives in. Thats what I call a real man. I know its pretty hard to believe these words are coming from me, but relationships take time to built. They shouldnt be rushed into. Foundations must be built and the “get-to-know-each-other process” is a must. You dont get into a r/s or tell someone you like them just cause of the feelings at the moment. These actions/words bring consequences. Think about the long run and not at that moment. Nowadays, “i love you” these three words are used without much meaning. They are said too easily. Do people actually know what the meaning of these three words? Do they know how serious these words are? To make matters worse, boyfriends and girlfriends means having sex. No questions about it. What happened to keeping your chastity for the one you love who you’ll eventually marry? When you re still a virgin, people actually laugh at you. What is the world coming to? I dont know how many people would actually agree with me but this is what I think.

  1. hi there, im just a random follower of your blog. I usually don't post comments but having read this, i just felt compelled to tell you how much i agree with you about being more old-school with regards to relationships. Thank god someone still believes in treating "love" with dignity and respect. Sure hope you never let the crowd, however big, sway your convictions.

Otherwise, love your blog, keep it honest as always, and stay safe! :)
