Its been a really shitty week. I really wish things would turn around for the better. 

In the eyes of a stranger.

Why do you have that look on your face?

What look?

Vodka? Whiskey? Tequila?

In my opinion,

Some people are like alcohol, 

They can become an addiction.

Intoxicating too.

They can bring out the worst in you. Think of scenarios of girls lying on the roadside in a pile of puke, exposing themselves in the most unglamorous way. 

Also, make you senseless. And of course full of regrets the next day.
Drunk texts, drunk words, drunk actions. You just lose all your remaining logic, everything in your mind goes haywire. 

Others make you "high". At that moment, you seem carefree, without worries. 

Well, wait till the hangover. Hahahahaa.

I think I prefer coke.

If I had to choose which item was the most important to be in my makeup pouch, it would definitely be my eyebrow pencil. I've always placed a great importance on my brows, believing how it can make or break you. 

I can safely say that I've been through a number of ugly stages for my brows, from the overdrawn mismatched thick dark brows to thin sparse barely there brows due to over plucking. Been there, done that. And its definitely not something I would like to experience all over again. 

I've always wanted to do eyebrow embroidery, believe me when I say that. I've bugged my mom a million times, done a crazy amount of research, yet I could never find a place to entrust my eyebrows to which fitted my requirements (e.g. price was one of the important factors). I've had really bad experiences with recklessly letting people pluck my brows and it was so horrible. You can ask my friends how I always complain non-stop to them about my brows. 

I was actually contemplating a few places when Amy Beauty-Link International approached me! (Fate?) I was beyond happy cause believe it or not, Amy's was amongst one of the few places I was considering after all the research! 

Amy Beauty-Link has actually been around for a really long time. I've visited Amy's before in secondary school! Yes, thats how long ago. 

So a few days ago, I headed down to Amy Beauty-Link International at Far East Plaza.

(Yes, drawing and not drawing my brows make a lot of difference for me! Cause of previous badly plucked brows, my brows are actually not equal on both sides and have some holes.)

(You can request for straighter brows, thicker ones, arched, etc. For me, I wanted something natural, similar to my natural brow shape. You can even choose how dark or light you want it to be.)

My eyelashes before perming! Super straight. 

I always have a hard time finding a good eyelash curler, and when i've finally found one I am satisfied with, I always experience problems such as using too much or too little strength resulting in my lashes not having the most ideal curl. So I was more than happy to know that Amy's offered eyelash perming services as well. 

I've tried eyelash perming a few times already and I like how eyelash perming "opens" up your peepers, making you look more awake. Also, its much prettier when you apply mascara. 

The perm can last from one month to a few months depending on individuals! Is it harmful for your lashes? Just don't do it too often! (Preferably once every three months maximum!)

FYI, it does NOT hurt at all. In fact, you can sleep while doing it and when you wake up, taadaaa, pretty curled lashes for you!

I am way beyond pleased with the result! Looks super natural and now I don't even draw my brows when I go out. Saves me ALOT of time! 

By the way, you may notice some redness between the hairs of my brows. This is very normal as it will take a few days to "recover" and the pictures were taken shortly after I finished doing the embroidery.

After the embroidery, I brought home an aftercare lotion and gel to take care of my brows. Touch-up would be done one month later.

Flea-back

I received a question on my ask.fm that day to blog about the restore flea.

For me the most rewarding part of blogging is when my readers come up to me and say hello. I've always had moments whereby I just felt like shutting down this space. Then I remember all the times you all, my dear dear readers, have left encouraging comments to ask me to continue blogging etc. This just spurs me on and any thoughts of deleting my blog immediately disappears. 

The restore flea was definitely a very fruitful day for me. Not fruitful in the sense that I could sell my clothes, but that I could have a chance to meet the people who read my blog, who care about me. Made me realize that "Hey there are actually real people, girls out there who read my blog." And they care for me! One reader (you know who you are!! ^^), even asked me how was life in australia, and if I was still modelling for blogshops cause whenever I model, she would definitely buy the clothes. Of course, there are so many of you who came to say hi and talk to me but cause I didnt particularly mention you doesn't mean I don't care ok!! Thank you so much and you have no idea how touched I was. :) I just felt like at that moment we were all friends and I may not know you guys well but you all know me! You know my inner thoughts, days when I am feeling down, days when I am happy. And whenever I go missing on my blog, you guys still never gave up on me!

Really thank you all those who came down and whether you bought any stuffs from me, I still love you all! Teehee.

I attended a family friend's wedding in hongkong. They were locals and it was my first time experiencing a hongkong-style wedding, though there wasn't much difference between the ones in Singapore to be honest. The groom was clearly exhausted from the wedding ceremonies and preparations in the day. He looked like he was gonna collapse any moment yet he sportingly went on stage with the bride. Then the MCs that night went on and on, and suggested they kissed from the count of 1 to 9. Well in front of everybody, they had to, plus it was part of some superstitions since 9 in chinese meant for a long time. 

Well that kiss was definitely done for the sake of doing it than really meaning it. Nowadays we always do things for the sake of doing it, just cause everyone is doing it, and you're supposed to do it. Like a social norm? Thats not how its supposed to be right? Why should I do it when I don't mean it from the bottom of my heart? Whats the point of doing it then? I might as well don't do it.

Was going through magazines at the hair salon today and decided to snap a few shots of my favourite pictures and inspirations! Street styles I like, makeup I am getting cajoled to buying. 

I always love how people can draw the inner eyes like the above??  I can never do that no matter how many tutorials I watch and how many times I've tried. :( 

LIU WEN!! My girl crush! I really admire how successful she is in the modeling world and how she make Asians proud, opening up more doors for asian models in the fashion/modeling world (consisting of mostly Caucasian models) and how Asians are being recognized more now.
