“Elephants have been known to die of broken hearts if a mate dies. They refuse to eat and will lay down, shedding tears until they starve to death. They refuse all human help.”
True romantic -
You believe in happy endings. By being yourself and feeling comfortable in your skin, you will give off positive energy and attract the kind of love you deserve. As a True Romantic, you've got a whole lot of love to give and like to jump in feet first. You have strong instincts and a good understanding of who you are and what you want from life. You like to follow your dreams and believe in happy endings. You are expressive and would like a relationship that's very open and honest. It's all about immersing yourself in the fairy-tale feelings of being in love. For you, it's the little things that make being in love so special: a sunset stroll on a beach, holding hands at the movies and feeling protected and cared for.
My friends always say that when it comes to the opposite sex, I am way too fussy thus the stagnant relationship status. Well, I don't really want to admit it, but yes its true. But get it clear, its not being fussy about the looks, status, wealth or idk what other thing there is. (e.g. the 5 Cs?)
I mean I am not going to go out with you just cause you drive a nice car, have a nice body or maybe, buy me nice presents?? A lot of people have that. But you know what? Judging by our age, it's probably all your parents hard-earned money and not yours. I'll probably be slightly more "impressed" if you actually used your hard earned money to actually make an effort to show off. Oh and probably forget about me stringing nice pretty made-up words for you just to make you happy.
Its about the feeling you get, the attraction between each other, the way you look at the someone and everything seems okay. To me, unless I am absolutely sure about seeing a long future with that special someone, and that he makes me feel like how no others can make me feel, only then will I even jump into it (e.g. slowly opening up, going out etc.).
Talk about reading too much romantic novels. Sometimes I feel that these novels and dramas I've been reading is gonna have such a negative effect on my life. They set up two people, perfect for each other, difficult circumstances. And the way the authors phrase it, probably makes matters worse. Because of these made-up stories, I set up these extreme high standards of the kind of love I expect. And unless its the kind of love that I had longed for, I am not gonna settle for anything less. Then on second thoughts, I kind of think that maybe it will take me a thousand years to find it, judging by all the stupidest reasons why people are in "love"these days and the definitions society has of love.
(p.s. Elephants are now my most favourite animal on this whole planet.)
I bet you just finished watching My Fair Lady?
ReplyDeleteAnd if elephants are your most fav animal on this whole planet, what about dogs?
