EKKA 2012

On Wednesday, it was australia's annual big event, EKKA and the day itself was declared a public holidays (it attracted an estimation of 400,000 people this year, mind you!). Even for the whole week, lots of lectures and tutorials for us students were cancelled. And of course, we were more than happy and wish everyday was EKKA-day!

And I was soo excited, I couldn't sleep the night before EKKA, believe it or not.

One of the many crazy rides there. This one involved you being locked in a cage and being overturned while the whole ride itself was already spinning crazily.  

Outside the pirates place! Must-have picture with the captain! I would prefer the real Captain Jack Sparrow but this would do for now! 

The other rides: 

We went on this ride and I guess I kinda underestimated it cause the moment the ride went up, I was regretting it so badly. It was so bad, I almost puked the moment I got down. My legs and arms were literally shaking.

Didn't take any pictures after I came down from the ride cause I was feeling soo queasy. My friends said I "didn't look good". 

And animals next on the to-do-list! 

I was like "I cant believe I eat you guys almost everyday..sorry.."

FOOOD FOOOD FOOOOOOOD: 

20 minutes worth of fireworks to end the night. The fireworks here are much better than back in singapore and they light it up so near you, it was beautiful. 

For a moment, they seemed like pixie dust to me. And I almost reached out my hands to catch it at that point.
